St Laurence was formally established as a separate entity in 1996 after the Brotherhood of St Laurence divested its Geelong regional operations. St Laurence is a community-based, independent organisation founded to assist communities in south and western Victoria. Some of our services have been in continuous operation since 1958. Over the years, St Laurence has become a major provider of human services, supporting many thousands of clients and their families each year. As a not-for-profit organisation St Laurence heavily relies on government grants, donations and community support in order to provide a wide range of services which include: Residential aged care (high care/low care) Home-based support services to people who are ageing Supported housing services Community-based and individual supports for people with a disability Community-based services for people experiencing disadvantage Employment and recruitment services St Laurence staff have a proud and well-deserved reputation as quality service providers who place our clients at the centre of all we do. Our staff are committed to living our mission of 'helping people help themselves'.
