ConnectGroups is the Peak Body for Peer Support in Western Australia, and is the voice for over 600 Support Groups across the state. ConnectGroups offers training, assistance, and information to Support Groups, and promotes the benefits of Peer Support through engagement with government and non-government agencies in order to influence and assist policy which will ensure group viability and capacity building. ConnectGroups acts as a referral service and utilises its extensive database of Support Groups to link individuals and families to relevant support. Support Groups allow people dealing with stressful life situations to share their experiences and to offer emotional and practical support to one another. ConnectGroups' Support Group database caters for a range of conditions including mental health, chronic and genetic conditions, social isolation, and more.
