The Advertising Standards Authority for Ireland (ASAI), founded in 1981, is the self-regulatory body set up by the advertising industry to maintain the highest standards in commercial marketing communications in the public interest. The ASAI draws up and applies the Code of Standards for Advertising, Promotional and Direct Marketing in Ireland to ensure that these standards are met. Our work includes acting on complaints, monitoring advertising in all media on an ongoing basis and providing free copy advice to industry.
