CHAUSIKU FOUNDATION.
www.paypal.comChausiku foundation is a Non-Governmental organisation established by a group of six young innovators whose aim is to use technology in eradicating period poverty by providing tools to adolescent girls enabling them to step up to their full potential. As an organisation it started in early 2020. The first design was an automatic sanitary pad vending machine made In July 2019. After learning challenges that most adolescent girls face, the machine came as a perfect solution to the problem. The vending machine dispenses sanitary pads by different means, using registered cards, fingerprints or QR codes, all these can be used to access sanitary pads from the machine. On the latter, the organisation uses innovation to make sure that education on menstrual health and menstrual hygiene is provided to adolescent girls by creating various phone applications, for instance Chausiku calendar where by one will be able to track their menstrual days using the application and within the application there is a platform where girls can talk to doctors and address their health issues regarding menstruation. Also using media technology, the organisation uses animations to create educational plays/series of plays on YouTube so as to reach more girls regarding the matter. Prior to that, we plan on reaching more girls physically by doing various events on which we will provide education on menstrual hygiene management. By providing first, education we believe it’s a step towards our vision. DONATE AND HELP CHAUSIKU TO REACH MORE GIRLS
