WisdomCorps.org and Our Vision Recycling will partner together to provide St Paul and the surrounding communities 5000 refurbished computers for free. Imagine what can be done with 5000 “free” computers being supplied to needy organizations and individuals. Many different ideas, such as reducing costs through remote learning and wisdom sharing, reducing the impact of increased medical costs for seniors, and increased quality of life through social interaction for seniors and medically bed-ridden. Entrepreneurial individuals can develop different and unique remote revenue generating opportunities. Free computers can be targeted for such various groups as those too poor to purchase a computer, those out of work, seniors looking for part time work at home, disabled military veterans who are not able to travel for work. Providing cost effective teaching, training and providing other necessary services remotely are currently highly sought after jobs. Many more ideas than these can be accomplished. Putting refurbished computers in the hands of people who are ready to share their wisdom and experience in helping others can exponentially grow to assist many others in need. Taking advantage of the tremendous marketing value of the Wisdomcorps name will inspire others to join the Wisdomcorps community and grow this program not only within the local community but eventually becoming a model for statewide and national programs.
