Fabulous Friends Club
www.fabfriendsclub.orgHaving 3 boys in sports and activities, I understand the sheer amount of fundraising youth organizations and schools need to survive. But all of us grew weary of hawking unpractical, over-priced low-return items that sometimes we didn't even want ourselves. So, I had the idea to improve upon the system and still benefit everyone - the seller, the buyer and the community. A bit of background - In 2012, my sons started a charity that provides food to kids on the weekends at risk of going hungry. By partnering with local schools, we are able to give 110 kids a backpack each Friday with 7 meals to help them through the weekend. In order to expand the program, I designed a fundraiser that is practical, easy to sell, has a great value and can fund the backpack program: greeting cards. Organizations can choose from 4 different high-quality packs of greeting cards where they get to keep 40% of profits and the backpack program expands to new locales. In fact, since starting this program we have expanded to feeding 800 kids per week. It's a win-win-win. Organizations, buyers and community growing all together
