Hanns Lee selectively and non-exclusively advises and consults for companies and organizations that invest in or influence the built environment. He brings extensive experience in acquiring, developing, and managing investment grade office buildings, office campuses and office-anchored mixed-use projects with a focus on strategy, planning, and entitlements. Hanns is currently a Senior Managing Director at Hines where he oversees transaction, development, and asset management for the San Francisco Bay Area market. Prior to this role, Hanns served as Head of Hines Workplace Services and led the development and launch of a new, flexible space / office hospitality / workspace-as-a-service platform for Hines’ global portfolio. In addition, he was a Managing Director in Hines' Office of Innovation focusing on portfolio future-proofing and proptech initiatives. He previously served as the Irvine Company's and Lowe Enterprises' top executive for their respective Northern California regions. Hanns earned a B.S. in civil engineering from Stanford University, an M.B.A. from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania, and has completed Executive Education programs at the Harvard Graduate School of Design. He remains active with Stanford University currently serving as President and a board member of Stanford Professionals in Real Estate and is a member of its Executive Committee and Alumni Real Estate Council.
