Emerging Leaders PDX focuses on diversifying the workforce in the Greater Portland area by providing pathways to leadership for underrepresented communities. The Emerging Leaders Internship (ELI) program matches recent graduates and college students of color with paid internships at top companies across the Greater Portland area. Since 2016, we have partnered with nearly 200 companies and placed participants into 500+ internships, with many successfully transitioning into full-time roles. Emerging Leaders Mentoring (ELM) supports underrepresented groups and those with barriers to employment who seek careers in the technology and healthcare industries by matching them with established professionals to engage in a formal mentoring relationship. The majority of mentees will already be enrolled in TechRise PDX or NW Promise. Our programs and initiatives are designed to remove barriers to access and establish talent pipelines to foster a stronger, more inclusive Oregon.
