Heritage Professional Associates was formed in 1990 by three psychologists who had a vision for the future of healthcare. Wanting to establish a practice based upon trustworthiness, dependability, quality of care, and the highest of ethical standards, a platform was established to allow the practice to grow. From one small office with four mental health professionals in 1990, Heritage has grown to four offices and over 50 caring and committed providers today. Heritage provides over 30,000 patient contact hours annually. We are members of many professional associations. Several of us have faculty appointments, and are committed to on-going teaching, supervision and research. We also are a practice which is comfortable with the integration of faith and psychology. The word ‘Heritage’ means – anything that has been transmitted from the past or passed down by tradition…something inherited – tradition, legacy… We chose the name ‘Heritage’ for its timelessness, durability and solid connotations. We also appreciate how understanding one’s heritage influences who we are today. We help people to appreciate the best parts of their heritage while also being aware of those aspects of one’s heritage which can become a hindrance. Our logo, a sturdy Oak tree, recognizes the importance of our roots, our mission to promote growth, and the strong presence of our practice, which has been present for over 20 years and continues to become stronger each year.
