In coming years, we aim to sell digital products and services to the same group of farmers. The current offering can be bucketed into three categories: 1. Agritech (Tackling productivity issue for farmers) – Farmers in rural India still adhere to traditional way of farming. Farm mechanization and scientific farming are alien concepts to a major segment of farmers. This doesn’t allow them to unleash the full potential in terms of productivity. That’s where our expert-based crop advisory services come in. Post funding, we want to switch to AI/IoT- based crop advisory, which is more accurate, easy to scale and tuned to the need of each farm. 2. Agribusiness (Tackling lost opportunity for farmers) – Once the production of grain done, farmers face a severe market linkage issue. Intermediaries take away the profit and make delayed payments sometimes even by a year or so. Our physical ecosystem provides them relatively higher rate, transparency in weighing, and instant payment. The advantage is that it increases profitability of farmers by 2.5-5%. We sell grains directly to Institutional buyers. 3. Financial Services (Mitigating Longer Credit Time) – Once we deliver produce to our institutional buyers issue of longer credit time arises. Since grain business is seasonal in nature buyers purchase huge quantity of grains in a short period of two-three months. This becomes inventory to them and hence they don’t pay our due timely. To curb the issue, we are in conversation with three leading NBFC (Non-Banking Financial Companies) to help us with bill financing. Holistically, we are building a physital (Physical + Digital) ecosystem to resolve agrarian crisis in rural India.
