Prader-Willi Syndrome Australia Ltd (PWSA) is a registered charity formed in 2018, as a result of the merging of a number of state-based PWS Associations. With a combined history of more than 80 years active service for the PWS community our organisation has representation from across Australia. Our vision is to be Australia's leading organisation enhancing the lives of people living with Prader-Willi Syndrome and we aim to fulfil our mission to simplify the complexity of life with Prader-Willi Syndrome by connecting, educating, advocating and transforming lives together. We're proud to be building an inclusive, respectful and collaborative organisation that places individuals living with PWS at the heart of all that we do. Our organisation believes in and actively pursues the Social Model of Disability. We strive locally, nationally and internationally to break down barriers, promoting inclusion and rights under the United Nations Convention of the Rights of People with Disabilities (UN CRPD), by advancing the care, welfare, treatment, interests, education and advancement of persons living with Prader-Willi Syndrome (PWS).
