Having launched our own travel business in 2019, we realised it would be essential for us to learn how to advertise using social media. At the same time discovered how to build and leverage high converting sales funnels to connect us to international travelers who were interested in experiencing Africa. This worked so well for our travel business, we started helping small business within our network, lead generate, and grow their sales. With the global surprise that was Covid-19, we soon realised that there would be an even greater need for our skills to help small and medium-sized businesses unlock the value of social media, as an advertising media to boost sales. Not only this, but we aspire to offer these businesses access to our skills at cost-effective rates versus large digital agencies. When we chat to our clients, people are unsure of social media as an advertising medium, so they don’t know where to start. It’s very easy to spend a lot of money and get very little return. Because we are specialists focusing on a narrow niche of social media, we know our oats. We are not all things to all people, and that is why we can be agile and nimble. We practice what we preach and use these approaches in our own travel business Marula Hill Travel (both in South Africa and the UK). Even during the lockdown, we have been able to keep the momentum going and drive significant domestic and international bookings. Our passion remains in the lodge and boutique hotel industry but we're here to help ALL small businesses. Our brand name is an African twist on Vikki’s gran's name, Mary Hill. She loved visiting South Africa and was a businesswoman all of her life. So she would be very proud of us, wanting to use our skills and help others.
