The department Textile Technologies at Technische Universität Chemnitz was re-established in 2014. Majorly to take the leading charge in the Research and Development of High-Performance and Sustainable Textiles.  Currently, our focus lies in the automated production of fiber composites and reinforcement structures used in the fiber composites for the Rapid Manufacturing Process (RPM), the development of Textile Technology and Processes as well as Sustainability transfer in the field of Textiles and Textile Process.  Alongside our strong Research & Development front, we believe a well-rounded education and application-oriented training is the key to the success and continued existence of our Textile Industry.
