The Research Institute for Plant-Based Nutrition (IFPE) addresses the topics of vegetarian and vegan nutrition, alternative diets and sustainable nutrition from a nutritional science and nutritional ecology perspective. As an independent research and consulting institute, it is committed to scientifically based concepts of a health-promoting and sustainable diet as well as their dissemination in society. On these pages we inform you about our work. With our research we gain important new insights into plant-based nutrition and make them available to the public. We work independently as well as interdisciplinary, combining the disciplines of nutrition science, medicine and economics. A special focus is on the various aspects of vegan and vegetarian nutrition. This makes the IPFE unique in the German-speaking world.
