Agoura High School is located in Los Angeles County, just west of the San Fernando Valley. One of two high schools in the Las Virgenes Unified School District. Our students reside in the cities of Agoura Hills, Westlake Village, and Calabasas, as well as unincorporated areas of the Santa Monica Mountains. The expansive, open campus mimics the surrounding hills and trails. The area is suburban, residential, and includes varied socioeconomic levels. There is a wide range of professions represented by AHS parents, from small business owners to those in the entertainment field. Agoura is a California Distinguished School, an honor which identifies approximately 5% of the most exemplary and inspiring public schools in our state. AHS is also Gold Ribbon School. The Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC) awarded Agoura High School its highest level accreditation in 2014 of six years and clear. Agoura High School was named an International Baccalaureate World School in February 2009, joining 84 other schools in California with this distinction. AHS is extremely proud of the fact that 95.61% of the Class of 2018 met the requirements for graduation. According to our high school exit survey, 90.3% continued on to higher education, with 34.1% attending two year and 56.2% attending four-year colleges and universities. Additionally, 9.7% went into the military, will be working or traveling. The total enrollment at Agoura High School is 1992 with 556 seniors. The distribution of our students by ethnicity has been consistent over the past ten years: Caucasian-75.3%, Asian-5.6%, Hispanic-12.2%, African American-1.5%, Filipino-0.61%, American Indian-0.76%, Pacific Islander-0.20%, Multi-Ethnic – 3.7%.
