COMICS STAND-UP FOR HOMELESS ANIMALS Funny for Fido is a 501(c)(3) charity created in 2005 by comedian, animal rescuer and dog expert Justin Silver. For over a decade FFF has brought the country’s top comedians together to raise money and awareness for homeless animals. 100% of the profits raised at our events and throughout the year are used to pay for veterinary care, food, training, transport, temporary and permanent housing for animals that would otherwise be killed. Our comedians perform in front of sold out crowds in New York’s largest comedy venues, raising thousands of dollars for animal rescue over the years. The Funny For Fido team includes event designer/producer Barb Salzman, TV and comedy producer Kristen Hartley, Host and Founder Justin Silver. Our performers include Amy Schumer, Jim Gaffigan, Janeanne Gorafalo, Colin Quinn, Dave Attell, Judah Freidlander, Nikki Glazer, Patrice O’neal, Robert Kelly, Sherrod Small, Chris Distefano, Judy Gold, Rachel Feinstein, Greer Barnes, Big Jay Oakerson and many more Our Host: Justin Silver Comedian, TV Host, Author, Dog Trainer. For well over a decade Justin Silver has been performing stand up comedy and rescuing and training dogs. In 2005 he combined his two passions to create Funny For Fido. Justin’s comedic talent and way with mans best friend caught the eye of CBS’ and in 2012 “Dogs In The City” a prime time reality show featuring Justin as New York's go to guy for dogs hit the air waves. The show was a huge success and a year later Justin authored “The Language Of Dogs” a best selling dog training book titled after his dog care company and published by Simon and Schuster. In 2015 Justin stared in Hong Kong’s first and only dog training show “The Good Doctors” (It’s a funny title in Cantonese). He also tours the country performing stand up comedy and when he’s not doing that, he’s touring the country training dogs. Justin’s been featured as the humorous dog expert in hundreds of TV segments, news/ magazine articles and blogs, including: Live with Kelly and Michael (ABC), The Talk (CBS), CBS This Morning, The New York Times, The New York Post, FOX News, The Daily News, The Post, Daily Shot with Ali Wentworth, Extra (CBS), People Magazine, Inked Magazine, People Pets Magazine and many more.
