Working Actors Studio is dedicated to ushering trained/semi-pro/amateur/student actors into the professional film/stage/tv industry. Founded by Tony Award Winner Cedric Hill and 26-year veteran master teacher Pandora Scooter, Working Actors Studio aims to instill in their students know-how, technique and confidence. Upon graduating from the Advanced level, WAS actors will have the tools to ace auditions and start working in this incredibly competitive field. ***** Cedric Hill has won multiple honors and distinctions as a writer, director, and producer of both film and theatre including being on the short list or the 2016 Academy awards for short films. In 2005, he founded To & Fro Productions, a film company dedicated to telling gripping stories with depth and sophistication. As executive producer he wears many hats from developing scripts, creating budgets and casting to writing, engineering production strategy and directing. Throughout its 13 years, Cedric has led the company to build a substantial resume of award-winning feature films, shorts and touring theatre. ***** Pandora Scooter is an award-wnning playwright, lyricist and spoken word artist. She has performed two of her solo shows on regional and national tours, to critical acclaim. In 2018, she was awarded Best Musical for her all-female punk rock muscial wRETCH, as well as a writing residency at Hypatia-in-the-Woods, where she wrote her newest solo show SELFISH, a comedy about women’s lib. For 14 years she taught at the Maggie Flanigan Studio where she developed her original methodology to script analysis called The Bunseki Method. Now at the Terry Knickerbocker Studio, she is honing this system and finishing up writing a textbook on it. During her 30 year career Pandora has worked alongside many major stars and legends including Lily Tomlin, Arthur Laurents, Zelda Fichandler, Anne Meara, Joan Potter, Eulalie Noble, Dean Irby, David Saint, Maggie Flanigan, Wiilliam Esper and many others.
