With digitization fast transforming the healthcare industry, Digital Health and Health IT have become fundamental topics. Statistics have encouragingly indicated an increase in the number of women working in the digital healthcare industry, yet there continues to be disproportionately less women overall working in digital healthcare with only a third of digital healthcare startup founders being female. To make an impact, the business network and community “WOMEN IN DIGITAL HEALTH” was founded in 2017, to inspire, share and connect. Participants benefit from regular events with guest speakers, panel discussions and workshops sessions, valuable networking opportunities, exchange of knowledge and ideas, industry events, projects and job recommendations. The initiative also aims to be recognized as a thought leader and industry expert, available for speaking engagements. With members across the healthcare industry, from hospitals, clinical research, biomedical engineering, pharma, medical devices, ehealth and other areas, the community keeps growing steadily in Switzerland, but also on an international level. Since March 2019, "WOMEN IN DIGITAL HEALTH" has officially become an association.
