Wilcock Consultants was established in 1994 by Graham Wilcock, who previously worked for British Gas for nearly twenty years. The company has provided outplacement and consultancy services specifically to the downstream, onshore natural gas industry. Currently, the company has access to over 3000 specialists who have considerable technical and management experience developed in the gas industry. Many of the skills are in niche areas of distribution, transmission, training and utilisation. The company provides resourcing and project services to a large number of significant companies in the UK; mainly through technical agency framework agreements. Those clients include; Ofgem, SGN, National Grid, NGN and GL Noble Denton. Some of those framework agreements have their origins in British Gas/ Transco era of the gas industry. In other words, they go back many years and have either evolved or have been subjected to rolling agreements. Over the years, the company has continued to expand the range and type of recruitment and associated services it can offer to the industry. For example, within the last several years the company has developed in conjunction with its clients, a unique contract model for the provision of resources into the Smart meter programme. In addition, it has developed real-time recording methodologies for its audit services.
