Jacques-Henri & Olivier BRONCKART created VERSUS PRODUCTION in April 1999. The company started producing a wide slate of documentaries and short films that have been awarded numerous prizes throughout the world. We now focus on the feature films from the directors we've been following since their first shorts (Bouli Lanners, Micha Wald, Olivier Masset-Depasse...) but also later arrivals with whom we also build longstanding relationships (Joachim Lafosse, Stef Liberski, Dominique Laroche...). Our director's work regularly attracts critical acclaim and prestigious awards and selections in the film festival circuit. Alongside these projects, VERSUS frequently steps into minority co-productions with like-minded European producers to whom we deliver, depending on their needs, Belgian financing, line production and a truly dedicated and reliable and team of film professionals. In parallel, Olivier has also been executive producer for Luc & Jean-Pierre Dardenne’s production company (Films du Fleuve) for 10 years. He held this position notably for the films "Le fils" and "L’enfant" (Palme d’or 2005) and "Stormy Weather" by Solveig Anspach or "Le couperet" by Costa Gavras. The Bronckart brothers have also founded INVER TAX SHELTER, a Belgian Tex Shelter company, and, more recently, O'BROTHER film distribution.
