Mixed Media Art – Street Art on Canvas I am an artist based in Munich. In my business heartelier I offer art classes, art events and art online courses. I also make murals and I create my own collections of art which I present in exhibitions from time to time. “Street art on canvas” is the slogan I use, since the art on the streets have great impact on me. Still I like the miniature version of everything. In my spare time, I like to travel to cities where I dive deep inside its life story - until I am satisfied and tired. I take these impressions, mainly from street art, back home with me and process them on my canvas. Backgrounds are processed in such a way that they look like stone walls, walls that have gone through decades already. Combinations of photographs, documents, acrylic paints and pencils are processed in layers so that the “stories” grow together. "A finished canvas relies on its background," I like to explain. Only when the background has accurately been done, we are ready to proceed. Then I play with contrasts, opposites and contradictions: drawings and paintings meet writings and words. The serious, gray city wall that has seen and experienced a lot is carried in my work by motifs that are often heavy and deep with a comic-like look. The play on words: like cheeky, light and easy - never too serious. In my courses, I teach the behavior and the usage of mixed media.
