The Iowa Youth Chorus embarks on its 31st year as Iowa's premier youth choral organization. Formerly the Des Moines Children's Chorus, the Iowa Youth Chorus is home to about 400 singers from across Central Iowa. Students range in age from 6 to 18 and meet at one of 7 locations for weekly rehearsals - Des Moines, West Des Moines, Ankeny, Windsor Heights (Primary Choir), Newton and Pella. As a member of the Iowa Youth Chorus programs, the students learn the value of excellence and the approach to achieve it. Our members are able to take this experience and knowledge and apply it to other life activities.
