...I'm German-French and was born in Bonn in 1961. My mother is from Rennes (Bretagne) and my father from Bonn, where I grew up, together with my two sisters. The fact that I grew up bilingually has probably helped attracting my curiosity in travelling and experiencing new cultures and traditions. After completing my highschool degree and my studies as translater, I started working at a small embassy in Bonn after moving to Tuscany in 1986. In 1986, I took over a position in the Italian furniture business and moved to Tuscany. While being responsible for the export of marble tables, made from the world-famous marble of Carrara, I travelled all over Europe and through many countries in Asia. I planned for a year, but stayed forever. I got to know my husband Daniele, and we were happy to have two wonderful daughters. In 2003, we started our new adventure as an agency for exclusive holiday homes with my website www.carolines-toscana.com During that time, we were lucky to buy our own country home in San Gervasio, where we offer our holiday domicile Podere La Pergola. While renting Podere La Pergola, we gained a profound idea of the wishes and demands of our guests – giving us valuable ideas for individual and successful advice in finding the best accommodation out of our 50 possible vacation homes.
