The business began underwriting with effect from 1 January 2018 and has assembled a multi-disciplined team of market-leading underwriters, analysts and portfolio managers. The business aims to provide a combination of deep product knowledge within a balanced portfolio, uniting quantitative analysis with experienced judgement to provide clients with innovative, tailored solutions. For 2022 Chord Re continues to partner with its long-term core capital providers, Beat Syndicate 4242 and Verto Syndicate 2689, through a single Lloyd’s of London consortium structure. Chord Re’s philosophy has remained consistent since the start; to prudently underwrite a balanced and diversified portfolio of Property, Casualty and Specialty Treaty Reinsurance.
