The Yorker is a student-run website which provides news, sports coverage, features, arts reviews and previews, lifestyle articles and comment pieces on everything that is going on at the University of York and in the city itself. Set up in 2006, the company has developed and expanded year by year and now boasts flourishing editorial business and web teams. With no political or campus affiliations, The Yorker's cannot be censored by the student union, meaning that its coverage comes with an independent and unique character. The Yorker is also a private limited company. We are self-sufficient and any profits we do make go to charity.
