www.nlujodhpur.ac.inCSENRLP has been constituted to devote itself to the study of sustainable development, natural resources and energy which are at the heart of Environmental Law. It takes over from the Centre for Environmental Law and Policy ('CELP') and introduces a multidisciplinary approach.To carve a niche in the intellectual landscape with regard to environmental law, the aim of the centre is to develop four essential attributes at its core: First, to inculcate and encourage an interdisciplinary outlook in research and analysis of environmental laws; Second, to understand the crucial link between formal legal framework and governance in practice which will include policy analysis and recommendations; Third, to work on training and awareness programs to promote an ecocentric approach towards the environment along with practical steps towards betterment of the environment; and Fourth, to create fruitful and mutually beneficial relationship with the Government, institutions and NGOs on environmental issues.
