Leiden Probe Microscopy
www.leidenprobemicroscopy.comLPM originates from the Interface Physics group at Leiden University, where a small group of enthusiastic scientists and engineers developed a set of equipment pushing the limits beyond the state of the art. That philosophy of letting scientists and highly skilled engineers work closely together still lives on today. With the introduction of the VT-STM, followed by the high pressure SXRD system and the Reactor STM, the bar is set. Since then, many systems have been developed, among which highly customized and unique instruments in various application fields. In close collaboration with our customers we design, assemble and install high-tech instrumentation for in situ surface science. We have experience in SPM, X-ray and optical techniques in extreme environments (i.e. extreme pressures, temperatures and subject to catalytic reactions). Examples of recent projects are the high pressure, high temperature AFM (100 bar - 150°C) and the CVD reactor to allow graphene growth on liquid metal (XRD, Raman, Optical).
