Atlanta Reggae in the Park llc
www.atlreggaeinthepark.comThe BeREGGAE Diaspora Music & Arts Festival at Piedmont Park in Atlanta Georgia, is the annual three-day fundraiser for our 501(c)(3), the Hand Over Fist Foundation, supporting programs centered around education and economic empowerment of Black families. This year, our foundation will be donating a portion of proceeds to Food For The Poor, the Piedmont Park Conservancy, The Reproductive Justice Resilience Project, and other organizations doing direct work to benefit Black families. Established in 2013, Atlanta Reggae in the Park started as a block-party style gathering to celebrate authentic afro Caribbean culture. As we grew, we began to focus on the intersectionality between the Caribbean, African, and Black American cultures and create a space where we all feel represented. We discovered that we could provide a truly authentic experience while also creating an event that is accessible to everyone by focusing on a safe family friendly environment, inclusion, and representation. We found an incredible “sweet spot” of providing a culturally authentic experience for all of our attendees while centering Black families, which culminates into one the most diverse gatherings in Georgia. As our vision grew, our mission needed to expand. Now, Atlanta Reggae in the Park has evolved into the BeREGGAE Diaspora Music & Arts Festival, a living expression of the creativity, ingenuity, business acumen, pain, struggle, passion and spirit of our diaspora culture. A unique, premium music and arts festival that centers the mental, spiritual, physical and emotional wellness of Black families.
