Since 1983, Riverside has built one of the finest day school and distance education facilities in Australia as well as investing into the future with a number of ground-breaking curriculum developments, catering for the changing educational needs of students . Riverside Christian College was the first Non-Government school to introduce Distance Education in Queensland - leading the way and continuing to lead the way into the future. Distance Education services extend primarily Australia-wide however, we also have students from around the world using our uniquely developed curriculum. From 2009 Riverside began to see a need to develop an Australian based curriculum, in place of being restricted to the international materials available. Our qualified teaching staff began the development with a Prepatory series, including a pack that contained all of the resources a parent would need to teach their child. Paints, blocks, DVD demonstrations, right down to craft equipment so each child would have the same foundation to start with. Currently our curriculum writing team have completed Prep through to Year 6, and have begun Years 7 & 8. These are all available in a booklet-based curriculum, delivered to your doorstep, and soon to be launched via our Virtual School.
