FOUR WINDS NATURE INSTITUTE is a community-based environmental education (EE) organization helping children and adults gain the content knowledge and science skills needed to understand the natural world around them and the problem-solving, communication and citizenship skills required to protect it. Four Winds has developed a continuum of programs, from Knee High Nature to the Nature Program to Linkages for Environmental Literacy, to provide age-appropriate, place-based EE training and support for early childhood educators, childcare providers, parents, community members, and classroom teachers working with children preK – 12.
