The Rombout Fire Company strives to provide the best Fire Suppression, Hazard Mitigation, and Rescue Service in Dutchess County. Simply put, we try to be the best of the best, and the bravest of the bravest. The Rombout Fire Company was formed in 1971 and is a 100% volunteer Fire Department. We are located in Dutchess County NY which is about 60 miles north of New York City. The District is composed of Residential, Commercial and Industrial properties. We cover 14.3 square miles. The Town and Village of Fishkill is composed of 5 different fire companies, Rombout, Village of Fishkill, Glenham, Chelsea, and Dutchess Junction. We have about 50 active members from all different walks of life. We have two stations, one located on Route 52 near Interstate 84, and a second, on Cedar Hill Rd near Route 52.
