We want to give every child in Luton a level chance when it comes to education. We help overcome the material costs of school and learning. We know that when money is tight at home, a child might not have the uniform they need for school or warm clothing when it’s cold. They are unlikely to be able to do fun things in the school holidays and they are more likely to suffer with mental health problems and low self esteem. They can feel embarrassed about making friends because they feel ‘different’ and they can have little hope for the future. So, we provide gift cards for school shoes and coats, run the Uniform Exchange (in the Luton Mall), give out Learn@Home resource packs to give children the tools they need for homework, and run a summer school packed with exciting and enriching experiences.
