Founded in 2010, Girls Nite Out Productions came to life when actresses Jennifer Warwick and Janet Stambolian were determined that the best way to provide more high quality theatrical roles for women was to create the opportunities themselves. Girls Nite Out’s inaugural production of Steel Magnolias was well-received and is a wonderful memory for everyone who experienced it: cast, crew and audience members. Our next production in October, 2011 will be the comedy The Hallelujah Girls by Jones, Hope and Wooten– the team that wrote the beloved TV show The Golden Girls. Work has already begun on that production! We believe that we have begun something special in the northern Vermont theater community. What sets us apart from others is our commitment to finding and producing plays and musical that feature prominent roles for women of all ages (and some men, too!).
