I provide individual, family, couples, and group therapy for both Deaf/Hard of Hearing, people with disabilities, and Hearing individuals and/or their families. I use several approaches depending on the client such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Psychotherapy, Motivational Interviewing, Solution Focused Therapy, Client Centered Therapy, etc. I have been a Sign Language Interpreter for 22 years and decided to join the field of Social Work 7 years ago to be able to conduct therapy, advocate, and assist with policy changes for underserved populations. I am certified to conduct E-Therapy which means not only can I do face to face counseling and home visits, but I can conduct therapy via electronic means, i.e. Video (Skype, Face Time, etc.), email, text messaging, and telephone. E-Therapy allows me the opportunity to reach more rural areas, clients without transportation, clients with Agoraphobia, and many Deaf/Hard of Hearing clients in the United States that are underserved. I further specialize with ADHD/ADD, Depression, Anxiety, PTSD, Bipolar, Substance Use, Phobias, Schizophrenia, OCD, etc. with a variety of techniques. I am currently working towards getting certified to conduct Animal Assisted Therapy as well so look for that to be upcoming.
