The Chamber represents the economic and civic interests of the Asian-Pacific Islander (API) community and Asian businesses in Houston. The Chamber fosters API-oriented economic development across Houston and promotes trade between Houston and Asia. The Chamber provides programs and events which: 1) Presents speakers on topics related to Asia and the Asian-Pacific Islander community at regular meetings, seminars, and presentations. 2) Provide networking opportunities through regular activities such as meetings, seminars and luncheons. Receptions are held for leaders of government, business, and the community. The Chamber participates in trade shows and trade missions. 3) Develop business leads for members. The Chamber receives information and notices which it disseminates to its members. The Chamber thus helps individuals and companies in Houston and in Asia seeking or offering trade opportunities. We are open to all businesses and organizations, regardless of ethnicity. The Chamber was incorporated on June 20, 1990 as a Texas non-profit corporation and qualifies as a tax exempt organization under Section 501(c) (6) of the U.S. Internal Revenue Code.
