The Michigan Alliance for Cultural Accessibility (MACA) is a consortium of professionals working together in order to enhance the accessibility of Southeast Michigan’s cultural institutions for people with all abilities. Founded in 2016, MACA provides a forum for sharing best practices, ideas, and resources focused around making cultural institutions more welcoming and inclusive. Founding organizations include the Ann Arbor Hands-On Museum, Arab American National Museum, Charles H. Wright Museum, Detroit Historical Museum, Dossin Great Lakes Museum, Detroit Institute of Arts, Detroit Symphony Orchestra, Detroit Zoo, Belle Isle Nature Center, Edsel and Eleanor Ford House, Michigan Science Center, The Henry Ford.
