People Dancing (formerly the Foundation for Community Dance) is the professional organisation for anyone involved in creating opportunities for people to experience and participate in dance We believe that dance can transform the lives of individuals and communities. Our vision is for a world where dance is part of everyone’s life, our mission to make engagement with dance important to individuals, communities and society. The Foundation works with, and on behalf of artists, organisations and teachers involved in leading, delivering or supporting community and participatory dance. Our membership reaches in excess of 4,500 dance professionals worldwide. People Dancing’s leadership of the community dance network provides a platform for exchange, critical debate and peer learning, exposure to diverse dance practices, new contacts, and expands professional horizons, your profile and professional identity.
