Transforming Stress Limited is an engineering consultancy providing: • A stress analysis service, including Finite Element Analysis (FEA); • Guidance for the safe design and operation of components and structures. Computational stress analysis has generated cost and time savings during the design of engineering components, and in the subsequent review of the performance of complex systems containing many components. Transforming Stress Limited staff have been involved in both the design phase of projects and during in-service review phases in many industries and we continuously provide safe answers for components. Transforming Stress Limited staff have taught stress analysis and FEA techniques on degree and masters levels courses. We have also developed bespoke teaching material on crack growth behaviour in components and on the complex response of fabrications to weld sequencing, jigging and tacking. Transforming Stress Limited staff have contributed to the development clear codes and standards for the appropriate use of FEA and stress analysis by engineers.
