Omni Montessori School was established in 1985, to provide an authentic Montessori program in South Charlotte. It has built and maintained a strong Montessori program and is actively involved in the Montessori community nationwide. Omni serves children ages three through fifteen: including three primary classrooms (for children aged 3-6), two lower elementary classrooms (for children aged 6-9), and one upper elementary classroom (for children aged 9-12) and one adolescent campus (for children aged 12-15). The school is registered as an independent school by the State of North Carolina, and is recognized by the prestigious Association Montessori Internationale (AMI) and is accredited by SACS/SAIS. All faculty members hold AMI teaching credentials appropriate to the age levels they teach. Founded to be a community of learning for children, parents and educators, the school is a non-profit educational corporation. A parent association coordinates volunteer work and organizes social and cultural events.
