Good Samaritan Sheepdogs (GSS) exists to equip the public to respond with confidence and competence to life threatening medical situations. A variety of services are offered including American Heart Association CPR, Heartsaver, BLS for Healthcare Providers, FirstAid, and The Tauma Nursing Core Course (for RNs and LVNs only) offered by The Emergency Nursing Association. GSS also offers consulting for Emergency Management, Medical Device evaluation, and Medical Device Training and Placement. GSS strives for excellence and high quality services, drawing on 15 years of emergency nursing experience and more than 5 years of emergency nursing management. This young company is committed to using real world knowledge and experience to decrease the gaps between the training grounds and the real world. The name Good Samaritan Sheepdogs is derived from the Biblical account of the "Good Samaritan", a person that is willing to render aid even though others may look the other way, and the military slang term of "Sheepdog" a protector. A "Good Samaritan Sheepdog" is the person that seeks to protect and render aid to those in need.
