Fighting for independence, equality and opportunities for disabled people living in poverty. Disabled people living in extreme poverty are among the most vulnerable, marginalised and discriminated people on the planet. Often, they have no access to basic human rights, such as dignity and respect, education, and the opportunity to work. We work in Africa and Asia through our local partners, challenging the status quo, the barriers, the attitudes and preconceptions that limit opportunities for disabled people within their families, communities and wider society. We provide disabled people with the knowledge, the tools, the employment opportunities and the resources to live life at its full potential. From local to global, we influence the shape of policies and the design of services to make sure disabled people are represented and heard, and their needs met.
