Enfield Town Football Club was established as a fan-owned club in June 2001. Its first team currently competes in the Isthmian League Premier Division. The team were promoted from Isthmian Division One North in 2012, a few months after the club moved into the refurbished Queen Elizabeth II Stadium in Donkey Lane. More recently, the side have reached the Middlesex Senior Cup final (2015/16), the Isthmian Premier play-off semi-finals (2016/2017), the 4th qualifying round of the FA Cup (2017/18), the first round of the FA Trophy (2019/20) and in April 2019 they won the Velocity Trophy (Isthmian League Cup). In June 2017, the club were awarded the Charter Standard Community Club of the Year by the Middlesex Football Association, one of several awards received in recognition of all the hard work being done to support the local community. In November 2017 a 3G training facility was opened adjacent to the club’s stadium and, subsequently, an independent charity - Enfield Town FC Community Sports Development Ltd - was formed to support local community activities. The first supporter-owned club in the country, the club's vision is to be an inclusive club for all, and a football and social centre for the community with a range of teams (including youth, ladies and disability teams) playing at the highest sustainable levels possible.
