The Boston Area Mask Initiative is a grassroots organization of makers and volunteers who create and distribute handmade fabric masks to help stop the spread of COVID-19. We have provided masks for a wide range of organizations, including homeless shelters, group homes, hospitals, nursing homes, and food pantries, as well as essential workers all over the Boston area. Since March of 2020, we have distributed over 40,000 masks.
