Our membership is comprised exclusively of CIOs (or equivalent executive roles) from public and private companies, government, education, healthcare and nonprofit organizations. Our mission is to build a strong, professional community among Greater Kansas City's information technology leaders, by providing a forum to share ideas, best practices and experiences relevant to CIOs. We create opportunities for technology leaders to engage in substantive, issues-based discussion related to their industries and profession. Members benefit by collaborating with others, building meaningful relationships, and promoting professional development through executive events that facilitate valuable interaction among senior-level experts. MEMBERSHIP QUALIFICATION Members must be a Greater Kansas City CIO or equivalent senior technology leader for an organization with at least $100 million annual revenue. Organizations over $1 billion qualify for a second membership and organizations over $5 billion may enroll a third member – provided the organization’s primary technology leader is a member in good standing. ABOUT THE CIO ORBIE AWARDS Established in 1998, the CIO of the Year® ORBIE® Awards is the premier technology executive recognition program in the United States. This annual event honors chief information officers who have demonstrated excellence in technology leadership.
