- About Trexpats Trexpats is the brainchild of Edith Veerhoek. She started giving coaching and trainings to jobseekers and employees of and in the Municipality of Rotterdam. It was within this job that she noticed a flaw in the political decisions of the municipality. Rotterdam and the surroundings of this city has a very international environment because of the harbour and international companies that are settled within this region. However when a jobseeker doesn't speak Dutch sufficiently, priority number one of the municipality becomes teaching this person Dutch instead of helping him or her with job seeking. Here is where Edith saw an opportunity. Because of her love for different languages and her tri-lingual upbringing she's fluent in English, Spanish and Dutch. This helps her give trainings and coaching to expats seeking help on the Dutch job market. But that's not all. Because of her knowledge & job-experience in recruitment, HR, marketing and the advertising world she knows how to position someone's personal brand and create much needed exposure for them to increase their chances on the job market. She does this with the specific needs and wishes of the person in mind and knows how to customize her coaching and training. Her specialization in working with higher educated clients has helped her be critical, innovate constantly and think outside the box. Besides her serious side, Edith has a good sense of humour. She has been a Stand-Up-Comedian since 2007 in both Dutch and English performing throughout The Netherlands, Europe and even having her own comedy segment at The Queen Silvy Show. Last but not least, because of the many cities she has visited on her comedy tours and her love of art she started to take on photography. She specializes in portraits for LinkedIn but her fondness of architecture has also been a huge influence on her photography.
