El Mundo Tech (https://www.elmundotech.com) is the work of Alberto C. Saldamando in informing, entertaining and educating Latinos and non-Latinos alike. On the 5th anniversary of ElMundoTech at WordPress.com, Alberto launched a new version of the blog at ElMundoTech.com. At its new home, the blog will be expanding with even more content in diverse categories. Saldamando is the winner of the Best Latin Tech Blogger award at the 2011 LATISM Conference. He has written for the Piensa Digital (Think Digital) blog at Impremedia, and has shared his opinions with NBC Latino & IDG's GamePro en Español. He has previously written for La Prensa Newspaper (Orlando, FL), and WiredLatinos.com. In November 2012, Alberto was invited by @NASAsocial to attend Kennedy Space Center to welcome Space Shuttle Atlantis to its new, permanent home. He was one of four Latinos invited to the event, out of 54 guests. In December 2012, he participated in the LATISM Cyber Sustainable Development Project in Patacancha, Perú, to provide computers & a satellite internet connection to the community, and introduce them to devices like the New iPad and the Nintendo 3DS. In April 2013, he went to the US Dept. of Defense GameTech Users' Conference to learn more about video game use for military purposes. He was also a speaker at the Let's Talk Tech panel at Hispanicize 2012, 2013 and 2014. Alberto attends tech and game/anime/manga/sci-fi conventions in Florida and California.
