PURPOSE STATEMENT (Our reason for existing) The Mount Zion Baptist Church exists to connect lost souls and living saints with a Loving Savior (Jesus Christ)...through emulating His works and sharing the redemptive message of the CROSS. II Corinthians 5:17-19 MISSION STATEMENT (What we do to fulfill our purpose) It is the mission of the Mount Zion Baptist to make connections that count by: 􀂃 CONNECTING believers with one another in Christ-like communication, sharing, and love; (FELLOWSHIP) Acts 2:21-24 􀂃 CONFORMING believers to the image of Jesus Christ through preaching, teaching, and studying the Word of God; (DISCIPLESHIP) Ephesians 4:12-13 􀂃 CONDITIONING the hearts of believers toward God through intimate relationship and communion; (WORSHIP) Hebrews 10:25 􀂃 COMMITTING and CONTRIBUTING to the well-being of all believers, the city of Cordova, Walker County, Alabama and the world through Christ-like service; (MINISTRY) Matthew 25:35-40 􀂃 CONVEYING the message Jesus' sacrifice on the cross to lost persons leading them to a relationship with Him as Savior and Lord.
