The METCO Directors’ Association is a non-commercial, non-partisan, non-sectarian, and non-profit organization. The members of this Association are committed to providing a quality educational and social experience for all students, to strengthen our own personal and professional development and ultimately, to create avenues for positive challenge and growth among all with whom we interact. The MDA has three objectives: To challenge the forces which obstruct the achievement, development, and educational opportunities for children of color. To raise the academic level of all students, placing particular emphasis on the types of strategies, which build positive and realistic self-concepts among students of color. To plan and conduct seminars in support of professional development in educational leadership and culturally proficient practices.
