The Sophia Rose Margiotta Foundation, Inc. is a public non-profit charity registered with the State of Ohio and the IRS with a 501(c)(3) exempt status. The mission of the foundation, the Presidents, and our Board Members is to honor the life, memory, and spirit of Sophia Rose Margiotta. Sophia passed from this earth at the age of 12 from undiagnosed Leukemia. Our goal is to distribute funds raised through fundraisers and public donations to existing non-profit organizations. Since our incorporation, the foundation has generated nearly $20,000.00. These funds have been distributed to various local charities around Columbus, Ohio, such as: The Central Ohio Leukemia & Lymphoma Society The Central Ohio Compassionate Friends The Capital Area Humane Society Ruling Our Experiences (ROX) The Hilliard Education Foundation The Hilliard Arts Council The Sophia Rose Margiotta Scholarship Fund (Bradly Memorial HS)
