We seek to inspire, nurture and develop the next generation of diverse artists working in partnership with national organisations to develop the diversity of Black British dance as a valued art form. Our key areas include: Key areas: Children & Young people To develop and maximise the creative potential of children and young people by offering regular opportunities to dance and achieve. Health and Wellbeing To be a key contributor to the health and wellbeing of our neighbourhood, city and nation by delivering innovative approaches to movement and providing community dance initiatives and dance in education. Professional Development and Performance To support and develop the Black British choreographic language and dancers through professional development, performance activity and accredited programmes of work. Organisation and Building Development To develop an organisation that is robust and responsive to the changing economic environment through dynamic leadership and committment to the Mandela Centre, Chapeltown, Leeds.
